This was the cutest little loveseat, but it's really the size of a settee. Probably from the 80's.
I took this picture with my phone so it came out so "pixiley" when I enlarged it.
Before I slipcovered it I reupholstered it in canvas dropcloth. This gave a nice base for the new slip.
It could really be used either way. Contemporary or Traditional!
But there's no cording on this part. I didn't want the cordings fighting with eachother once it was slipcovered.
I did a box pleat around the bottom, with a little leg still showing. Using the Quick Pleater of course!
Go check out how I did it.

I love this fabric! So nice to work with..
And a look at the back. You can see the arms and the back are the same height all the way around.

Oh how I wish you lived by me! I have a chair that I want to do this to, but I just don't think I have it in me. I am going to bite the bullet and take to a professional, I wish it was you I was taking it to! This couch turned out beautiful!
Kelly-That does look like an 80's piece. You did a great job on it...love the pleating! hugs- Diana
Kelly, I get so very inspired when I come to visit your latest slipcovers. I just love this one! I am going to slipcover 2 18th century sofas this coming spring and was thinking of covering them in an oatmeal or butter yellow. I want to put our monogram (very big) on ther back of each sofa. And I LOVE the pleated skirt you have on yours. I may have to do that too.
Beautiful. YOur Christmas decor is lovely!

Kelly, too cute! The slipcover really changes the look of that loveseat. And the pleats! Be still my beating heart; you know I love them.
I've used that linen several times and it is a dream to work with. Wish all fabrics were that easy.
So nice....that fabric is gorgeous. I'm actually "in the process" of slipcovering and reuphostering a chair... Thanksgiving kinda got in the way. I love the pleating around the bottom...
I swear, I would take any of your pieces home with me in a heartbeat! They're all just beautiful, and this one is no exception.
Well done!
I think you do an amazing job slipcovering and if I was in your area I could keep you busy for almost a year with all of the chairs and sofas I want slipcovered. I just get overwhelmed tring to do a simple arm chair let alone a pair of wingbacks or two.
How smart you are to think of things like 'dueling cording'. IF I could have done this, I would have noticed these kinds of things after I had done all the work!!! Great job as always. Lori L
I love the pleats. I have to get on of those pleaters.
Thanks for sharing your creativity once again!
YOU AMAZE ME!
WOW!
Have a pretty day!

What a transformation! I would never go back to skirtless with this one. I'm so wanting to start my next slip after reading this. You do amazing work and I can only aspire to do half as well. Thanks also for the tutorial on the pleats. I never got a chance to comment but am still trying to decide whether I will need one or not. I'll have to watch your "how to" again!

Hi Kelly, It looks wonderful, I love the pleating, it really soften the shape. I was enjoying your gorgeous foyer below, love that light sage walll color!

It's really lovely - makes one want to settle in with tea and nice fat design book - and maybe a nubby oatmeal shawl, just to be cosy.
I wish I had the patience to sew a button nevermind an entire transformation of a piece of furniture. You are amazing.
Hi Kelly I love your blog and have followed you. I was just lost in your photos and posts - can't believe how paralleled or similar our lives are right now... right down to taking down the kitchen drapes and not having time to make the new ones yet - then there's the recent linen slipcovers post...
Your slipcovers and rooms are lovely - I'm looking forward to more posts ;)

This is amazing! I love the color too! You have the best taste- I wish I could hire you to do my home! Thanks for following! :)
Love this sofa, if only I had the courage to tackle such large projects. I can't even muster up the courage to bring my sewing machine out from under my desk ; ).
You do amazing work, I've enjoyed looking at each of your pieces. Hugs-Carrie
