The Linen Sofa...So Far...

Well here it is so far!  It's almost finished.  Our crazy lab, Sugar jumbed up on it with dirty outside paws! Luckly I had a sheet draped over it at the time. I know I'll be freaking out over all of the hard work that went into this sofa...so I'm making a slipcover for it too.
See that aqua/blue in the rug?  The fabric is the exact same color!  And it will be machine washable!

I still need to cover the cushions and add the double welting all around the edges.
BEFORE
This picture is after I painted the wood ivory.
(there's a good shot of the aqua/blue in the rug)...The slip will be so cute. No skirt though, just cording around the bottom where the wood starts.

I'll show both covers finished soon.
Thanks for taking a look!

Kelly

Kelly-Great job! Are you going to put scotchguard on your linen? I did that with my white sofa and am sooo glad I did. It really does repel everything and you can't tell the difference in the way the fabric feels at all! It's gorgeous! Can't wait to see the slipcover either! Hugs- Diana

Love the linen, it is one of my favorite fabrics to work with. What will you be using for the slipcover?

I am dumbstruck! I would never have believed that out of date, worn, not very pretty sofa could be made into something so gorgous. Please, please, pretty please, tell us (and show us) how you did it.

Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! I never would have seen the vision to crete such a beautiful piece out of something that was downright ugly. You certainly have the gift of making a silk purse out of a sow's ear.
