I got this very tall vase from a thrift store for a few dollars. I saw an idea of putting these tall grass sprigs in one like it.
Well, after seeing the picture, I was on the lookout for one. And here it is.
This arrangement stands about 3 feet tall!
Last year I saw this plant in my neighbors yard. It multiplies bigger every year like a lilly or hosta so you can devide it.
I asked her "please, please give me a chunk of it." She's so sweet :)
It's in the pampas grass family...umbrella something?... I think it looks like little palm trees.
Yes...these are my "faux" tulips. I know, I know. I also put some shells in another thrift store jar for a little bit of a costal/palm look in the dining room.
Thanks for stopping by!
Kelly

I love your tall vase. The fronds looks wonderful in it too! I want that plant also. I'm going to have to look for some. I would have not known the tulips weren't real from this photo. They look great in the vase. Very pretty vignette!
Very pretty arrangement. The grass and vase add just the right height to your display. Of course, I love the white and green color combo too!
Kelly-Neat vase! Love the tall grass in there...and WHO SAYS you can't have tulips in August (almost September)..I say..use what you love! Was your dining room set a family heirloom? I ask because I gave my daughter her grandmother's set and it is very similar. Hugs- Diana
Great idea. I have a couple of tall vases like that, I'll have to keep this in mind, it's simple and elegant.
What a beautiful arrangement vignette, Kelly. You did a lovely job ...
Have a beautiful eve ~

So pretty! :) I love it! Are they real or faux plants? If you get a chance swing by and look at my client's dining that I am designing...:) I think you will like it! Hugs, Meme
I need to shop where you shop!!! Love that vase. I have been playing with the idea of a tall vase in my bermuda triangle corner of my master bedroom.
Your style is so inspiring.
Cheers~

Your arrangements look great Kelly. Very designer-ish. I love the different heights, colours, textures you've used. It makes a statement but is easy on the eye at the same time. Well done.

Wow!!! So pretty! Do you sleep?
That plant is incredible, so unusual. Looks really great Kelly! I like the 3 different heights of your vignette.
I just saw your new picture, you are a cutie! In my mind I always pictured you with light almost blonde brown hair... I don't know why, but the dark hair shocked me...lol
Looks super great. I love my tall vases in the summer and grow sunflowers just for them. Sadly, the last ones are being picked this week. I'll have to look for tall grasses now.
