These little flowers were just leftovers!
My sister came for a weekend visit and we decided to go fabric shopping. We headed over to Hancock Fabrics just to see what they had at their big sale.
She found this pretty sheer green fabric.
It has a water mark look and a ribbon flower design.
I had some white fabric, so I backed the 2 pillows with that. I also put a layer of the white behind the sheer green, sewing the 3 layers together.
Here's how they looked.
Well, then Amy decides to take the left over fabric a cut out the little flowers. I didn't think it would work, but she kept cutting. There were only a few so we arranged them on another white pillow, and fabric glued them on to look like they were falling from a bunch.
She stuffed this one when she got home. There were 2 full green pillows, but there were only enough flowers to make one with the leftovers.
She's so creative to think of this. I would have thrown the extra away.
I slipcovered 2 off white chairs and a white sofa for her.
These pillows will look so bright and cheery in the room with the new slips!
The room will be filled with this apple green, soft blues and aquas... and white.
She even decorates her whole home with aqua and silver Christmas decorations.
Won't it all look so light and pretty together?!

Apparently talent runs in your family. Great ideas. And how lucky she is to have a sister to help her out like that. Also, I tried to comment last week about your dining room chairs, and my computer would not let me comment. I loved them. Both sets of chairs were wonderful. I think you have the ability to make any ugly duckling into a swan! Lori L
I love the pillows! My favorite is the one with the cut out flowers.
Aren't you gals the clever little creators! I love your designs.
Have a beautiful day ~

Such lovely flowers. That's a great idea to use some leftover fabric.
Those are pretty~and it was smart to cut out the extra flowers. They're all cute, but that one is extra cute.
So, so cute! I really like the green fabric! I have this thing about green right now! Anyway, very clever use of the leftovers!
Love the fabric and how creative to use the flowers on a white pillow. It looks wonderful. Great idea. Hugs, Marty
I just love these pillows! The perfect amount of bright and girlie!

Very cute - you could even put those extra flowers on a purse of cardigan!
It looks like that creative gene runs through your family! What beautiful pillows! I love this fabric and love what both of you have sewn. Looks like you had a wonderful weekend sewing! I stopped by your old space and saw nothing of yours that I recognized. Are you totally gone and have your relocated anywhere? Thanks for stopping by, always good to hear from you!
Love the pillows! I think the color is wonderful and I love the pillow with the "falling" flower pattern. Perfect companion to the other two. Diana
You girls have it going on! Those are adorable!
Finally got set up to be able to post comments.. lol. Love the pillows and can't wait to get them on my couch!
