Isn't This The Cutest Little Thing? ~ Thrift Store Chair ~

I linking this post up to Costal Charm ~ Nifty Thrifty Tuesday Party
Go on over and check out lots of other nifty finds! And there's a GIVEAWAY!

I got this little chair for $10.00 at my favorite thrift store.  It was a good "slipcover chair".  I covered it in pink denim.  I plan to make a crib set to match, and sell it as a set.

Here's the before.  It's very sturdy and has a classic shape.
First I vacumed it really good, painted the legs white, and got new a new piece of foam for the seat.

I put white denim cording around it. And a white denim pleated skirt /trim around the bottom. I already had the little white "knotted" pillow.  It will go with it to the store.

I did a covered zipper down one of the back sides.

I really love this little thing, but  I have no use for it.  But... It makes me want to have a pink room in my house.
Speaking of pink... Did you see "Sarah's House" last night on HGTV?  I love, love, love the way the living room turned out!  Those touches of coral pink were beautiful!!  Hmmmmmm... ideas, ideas.  Not this chair's color of pink though.  I want Sarah Richardson's room!  In fact.. I don't think I've ever seen a room of her's I didn't like.

I think this little bunny would look so cute in the room with the chair. He may go with it too. ;)

I'll repost when I  make the crib set.  I hope to get some orders for them from the store.  I put a bunch of business cards in there, and I've been getting lots of calls for slipcovers.  In fact I actually have people backed up all the way through spring.  I hope I can get them all finished, and in their homes before the spring and summer start.  What a fun way to start the season with fresh new slipcovers!
Thanks for stopping by!
Kelly

The piece radiates the idea of blushing! I love the pink...oh how you get my baby vibes going again. :)

And speaking of Sarah....I have always been a fan. During my 1st summer as a newlywed (and Mr. B was a camp counselor) I found her original show Room Service the most wonderful treat. I use to plan my summer day around that show...just had to see it. :)

Cheers~

Loving the pink...makes me want to do some of mine in pink! I have to ask where do you buy your denim? I have seen at Jo-Anns and Hancocks white and blue but not colors like pink. So pretty...very talented you are! :) Have a wonderful week ahead and enjoy seeing up a storm!

Your chairs just keep getting cuter and cuter. I love everything you create. I also saw Sarah last night. I loved her living room too. I have also loved all her rooms even though I would say she is not my style....BUT I guess that is what classic style is all about!
And, is Tommy her husband? Or just her decorating partner?

Kelly, this is fab!!! Looove the pleats that you do! I have a chair in my bedroom that is very similar (only it's skirted and doesn't have legs that show). I found it at Goodwill for $10, bought this gorgeous toile fabric and have not covered it yet! It's been yeeeears that it's sat in my bedroom with it's ugly fabric. I wish some fabric fairy would pop into my house while I'm sleeping and I wake up to find it covered! LOL Only in my dreams, right?! Anyway, your chair and all of your work is just beautiful!
