Welcome to Met Monday. You can see more makeovers at...http://betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/
Total cost of the makeover was about $6,000. Most of this was the labor and materials to demo and repair the damage to the large shower and subfloor.
This is our master bathroom. The reason the blue tiles are everywhere is because I just wanted to band-aid over the ugly tiles without having to demo them. These are the very thin glass tiles. They covered over everything very easily. We would have done more, but we barely moved in and found...(the running theme of this house) the shower leaking, a small amount of black mold and water damage to the subfloor. It all sort of caught us by suprise.
I got the floors at Home Depot. They are a floating wood look vinyl. They actually stick to themselves... not the floor. They have texture and grain to them. I put them right over the pink marble.

Everything looks great. Sorry about the leak issues - I know someone who is having to deal with a similar issue in a remodle.
That is suppose to be remodel. :)
It looks GREAT!!
Very nice--!! I have a question about the flooring--does it stand up like regular vinyl and what do you treat it with?
Goodness! What a wonderful transformation.
It is going to be so fun to get ready now!!!

I'm digging the colors you used...so soothing! I think I need a bath. :o)
Gorgeous! I love the colors ~ very spa like! Thanks for sharing.
The bathroom turned out gorgeous. I love the pretty tile and the floor is stunning. You did a wonderful job. Hugs, Marty
I love your vanity and sinks. It all looks so clean, like a very elegant spa.
What were they thinking all those materials and all that work to make a leaking bath. They should have let you design it the first time. Great rescue.
Beautiful makeover. Great job!...Christine
Your bathroom looks so much better! Sorry to hear about all the surprises!!!! It looks fabulous now though! ~ Ashley
Gorgeous looking bathroom. I especially love the mirrors and the sinks. They really go along with the little tiles, my favorite by the way :) And who can't but love the glass tile shower. Something that has been great for so many decades and hasn't lost its charm even in these days. You should look at my bathroom staging tips for little details how to perfect your bathroom. Not that you need any, you did an excellent job! Thanks for your post!
Take care, Ella
Ok - so I love all of it, but I'm absolutely inspired over the raised mouldings on the fosit(SP) Faucet? I don't know - but you know what I mean - that looks so beautifully custom! WOW! Thanks for sharing, and inspiring!

Kelley, you are so great at transforming things that are mundane, sometimes, downright ugly into lovely - what a wonderful talent you have.

I love the Arctic tree, and several others...I just got overloaded with "Circus" (even though I love the deranged looks on the zebras and the giraffe seems to be saying, "I know something you don't know"..hahahahah
I guess it's just a kneejerk response to putting one too many tiaras on a lime-green tree...
"the throne" I'm dying! What a gorg redo!
That is the most gorgeous bathroom!
Would you mind telling me what paint color that is?
I'm wondering how you did the glass block. I had a contractor do mine and the top and edge are not even thickness and as neat/clean lined looking as yours. Any advice? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Hi Kim,
I'm not sure exactly what you're talking about, but when they did ours, they topped the bricks off with a line of white subway tiles. Those went all the way across the top and anywhere the raw edges were showing. Does that help?
Thanks for stopping by!
Kelly
I just found your blog and love the bathroom remodel, you mentioned that you tiled over the existing tile on the vanity, I am wondering how you did this on the edges without making it stick out and also on the backsplash bit, I would love to do the same to our vanity too and could do with some tips.
